DEBRIS FIRE
07/22/07  1953 - Station 6 was dispatched for a debris fire at 320 Calvert St./ Garnett Elem. School Engine 6-7 found a piece of play ground equipment well involved. The Engine operated for 52 min. under the command of Asst Chief Slagle.
   
 

 
ANOTHER CHESTERTOWN PRODUCTION
07/11/07 - Units were alerted for a reported working barn fire @ 23830 Smithville Rd in Worton. Command 6-1 with Deputy 6 responded. Rescue Pumper 3 from Galena hit the street first then Rescue Pumper 4 from Kennedyville and Engine 5-3 from Betterton. Rescue Pumper 4 was the first fire suppression unit on the scene with Engine 5-3 on its back step. Both units were directed to advance their 2 ½ blitz lines and knock the fire as the units were almost out of water Tanker 6 arrived to supply the fire then Tankers 4, 3 & 5 arrived. Tanker 6 dropped the portable pool and filled it and ran for another load of the wet stuff. Paramedic 1-1 was assigned Water Supply (Skippy).  The fire was brought under control within an hour with all units working.

Units on scene: Command 6-1 w/ Deputy Chief , Engine 6-7 w/ Olsen in the seat, Tanker 6 w/ R.B., Rescue Pumper 4, Tanker 4, Engine 5-3, Tanker 5, Rescue Pumper 3, Tanker 3, Utility 3, Tanker 2, FM 68, Ambulance 8, Paramedic 1-1, Queen Anne Engine 51, & Queen Anne Engine Tanker 7 on scene.

Units transferred into Kent County: Kent County Delaware Engine 51-5 (HARTLY) & Engine 43-4 (CHESWOLD) covering the city, New Castle Delaware Engine 27-5 to Kennedyville, and New Castle Delaware Tanker 24 to Galena. THANKS FOR THE COVER UP‘S IN KENT COUNTY..

 

 
VEHICLE FIRE
07/09/07  1940 - Kent dispatched Local Box 60-7 for a vehicle fire in front of 11101 Brindley Dr. in Worton. Chief 5 POV arrived first to find an SUV 50% involved. Engine 6-7 & Engine 6-8 responded. Units cleared within 1 hour.
