The
Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company Explorer Program is
designed for young adults from 14 to 18 years of age who
are interested in learning about a career in the Fire
Service. The program is a joint venture with Learning
for Life.
The goal of Chestertown Volunteer Fire
Company Explorer Post #490 is to introduce young adults
to firefighting as a professional occupation and spark
an interest in firefighting. The program will teach
leadership skills, teamwork and camaraderie. Chestertown
Volunteer Fire Company Explorers work side by side with
other members of the company to help carry out the
Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company Mission.
In addition to
learning about the Fire Service, the Chestertown
Volunteer Fire Company Explorer program motivates young
adults to have a sense of responsibility for their
neighborhoods through on-going community related
activities. The Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company and
the Boy Scouts of America are developing the youth of
today, to meet the needs of our community tomorrow.
