Structure Fire at 10200 Worton Road.
Paramedic 1-1 arrived with smoke showing
from a 1 story paper processing plant.
Engine 67 arrived and dropped a line at
the first of the four buildings and
advanced a 1” ¾ pre-connect into side
alpha of the building. The fire was
located in the augers on the
Charlie/Delta side of the building.
Chestertown units cleared at 2211 hrs
with a total of 22 personnel of the
call. Special thanks to Crumpton and
Church Hill for covering our first due
while our members operated on the fire.

Kent Dispatched Rock Hall, Chestertown,
Betterton, Sudlersville, Kennedyville
and Kent EMS for a Structure Fire
located at 5775 Main Street. Kent
advised units en route that Rock Hall
Police Department was on the scene with
fire showing from the second floor.
Engine 72 arrived on the scene with a 2
story multiple-use structure, heavy fire
showing from the second floor. Tower 6
was directed to drop a supply line from
the corner of Main Street and Rock Hall
Avenue and pull to side alpha. The crews
from Tower 6 split with one crew going
to the roof and the second crew
assisting crews from Rock Hall with
interior operations on Division 2.
Engine 6 arrived and also assisted with
interior operations along with salvaging
Division 1. Chestertown members cleared
at 0339 with a total of 12 personnel on

Road. Paramedic 1-1 arrived to a find a
300’ Chicken House fully involved in a
heavily wooded area with some exposure
problems to propane tanks. The crews
from Tower 6 and Rescue 6 assisted Rock
Hall units with fire attack and
overhaul, while Tanker 6 assisted with
water supply. Chestertown units Cleared
at 0527 hours with a total of 15
personnel on the call.

Kent dispatched Chestertown and Kent and
Queen Anne’s Rescue Squad to assist
Church Hill on a Motor Vehicle Collision
with Entrapment in the area of Route 213
and Roudtop Road. Queen Anne’s Engine 52
and Engine 6 arrived to find a head-on
collision involving a SUV and Roll-off
dumpster truck. Engine 6 secured the
protection line and assisted members
from Church Hill with a extrication
along with packaging of the patient. One
patient was flown via Maryland State
Police Aviation Priority 1 to R. Adams
Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore.
The driver of the roll-off truck was
transported Priority 3 to Chester River
Hospital Center. Chesterton units
cleared at 1522hrs with a total of 10
personnel on the call. Queen Anne’s
Officer 501 (C. Jester) had Route 213
Command. Special Thanks to Queen Anne’s
Rescue/Engine 7 for covering our first
due while our members where on the call.

ONE TRAPPED ON EARL NICHOLSON ROAD |

Kent dispatched Chestertown, Kent and
Queen Anne’s Rescue Squad and Kent EMS
for a Motor Vehicle Collision in the
intersection of Earl Nicholson Road and
Bakers Lane. While units where en route
Kent upgraded the call to a Motor
Vehicle Collision with Rollover and
Entrapment. Paramedic 1-1 arrived with a
two vehicle t-bone style collision 1
vehicle on its side. After further
investigation of the scene Paramedic 1-1
advised that he had 1 female patient in
the overturned vehicle inconvenienced
and would require a windshield removal.
Chestertown crews removed the wind
shield and assisted with packing the
patient for transport. Maryland State
Police Aviation was requested Category C
Priority 2 for the female patient. Two
other patients refused care at the
scene. Chestertown Units cleared at
0908hrs with a total of 12 personnel on

Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company held
its annual Banquet and Installation of
Officers, Following the Memorial Service
and Dinner, The Fire Line Officers,
Administrative Officers and Ladies
Auxiliary were installed by MSFA Past
President Leonard King. Congratulations

We would also like to thank Grasonville
Volunteer Fire Company and Singerly Fire
Company for Covering our first due while
our Members attended the Banquet. During
the Banquet both companies handled a
Medical Assist and a Citizen assist. As
Engine 13 (Singerly) was clearing the
station coverage they handled a Motor
Vehicle Collision with Rollover where 1
male patient was flown to R. Adams Cowley
Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore along
with a Working House Fire in
Kennedyville.
