On Wednesday, January 20, 2021 Chestertown VFC President Dave Eason announced Ms. Henrietta Maloney, our company treasurer, had been selected as the 2020 Administrative Officer of the Year. As treasurer, it is her responsibility to manage the financial affairs of the fire company.

Ms. Maloney has served in this role for some time, and began her tenure assisting former company treasurer Walker C. Eliason, now deceased. Mr. Eliason served as the company treasurer for many decades before retiring and passing the mantle. He established the model, tried and true, that placed the fire company on financially firm ground. Even after retiring as company treasurer, he stayed on as Treasurer Emeritus, available to answer questions and advise on important financial matters. Ms. Maloney has continued to follow his model, and the results are evident.
