On Saturday, April 18, 2026, the Kent County Fire Chiefs held their 2nd Annual Fire & EMS Hall of Fame Dinner.
Last year, several members of the Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company were inducted in recognition of their dedication and service to our community and surrounding areas.
This year, we are proud to recognize the following members who were inducted into the Hall of Fame:
• J. Benjamin Coppage
• Claude T. Joyner III
• Henrietta Maloney
• Evelyn Darlene Neal
• James B. Russum
Each inductee was presented with a Kent County Chiefs Association Hall of Fame Challenge Coin, along with a lapel pin to be worn on their Class A uniform, symbolizing their lasting contributions to the fire and EMS service.
We extend our sincere congratulations to these individuals for their unwavering commitment and for exemplifying our mission of “Service for Others.”
We would also like to take a moment to honor Evelyn Darlene Neal, who passed away in 2024. While she is no longer with us, her legacy, dedication, and the impact she made alongside her husband, F. Bruce Neal, will continue to be remembered and honored within our company and throughout the community.
